Pakistan launched “Bunyan-ul-Marsus” in response to India’s “Operation Sindur.”

The Pakistani military has announced that it has launched a counter-operation against India’s “Operation Sindoor.”

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, Pakistan has officially initiated a counter-offensive named “Bunyān-ul-Marsūs” in response to the Indian attacks.

Citing military sources, Al Jazeera reported that Pakistan targeted an Indian Air Force base in Udhampur and an airfield in Pathankot.

Pakistani security sources have also claimed that a BrahMos missile storage facility in the Indian city of Beas, Punjab state, was affected by the Pakistani strikes.

Meanwhile, Pakistani military spokesperson Ahmad Sharif, in a televised address, said that although India launched missile attacks on three Pakistani airbases, all air force installations remain safe.

According to him, India targeted the Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, Murid Airbase in Chakwal, and Rafiqui Airbase in Jhang district. Sharif also claimed that some of the missiles fired by India reached Afghanistan, although he did not immediately present evidence. However, he insisted that Pakistan possesses proof.

India’s Response

India’s Ministry of Defence reported sightings of suspicious armed drones at 26 locations across the country, ranging from Baramulla to Bhuj. The ministry warned that these drones could potentially damage both civilian and military infrastructure.

The drones were reportedly seen in several areas near the international border and Line of Control adjoining Pakistan.

The ministry claimed that one drone attacked a civilian area in Firozpur, causing serious injuries to several local residents. The injured are currently being treated in hospitals, and security agencies are investigating the incident.

In a statement, the Ministry of Defence said, “The Indian armed forces are on high alert and are countering all aerial threats through counter-drone systems. We are closely monitoring every situation and are ready to respond immediately if necessary.”

The ministry has urged citizens living in border areas to stay indoors and follow local security guidelines. The military stated, “There is no need to panic, but it is essential to remain vigilant.”

What is “Bunyān-ul-Marsūs”?

According to international media, “Bunyān-ul-Marsūs” translates to “a solid, unified front.” The name is derived from the Quran and emphasizes unity, strength, and discipline within the military to protect the nation.

In an Islamic context, the name symbolizes unity, discipline, and determination.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah explained that the name means “a solid wall made of steel” — representing a strong and unbreakable defense structure.
