Kathmandu, 31 Aug: 26-year-old Luna Luintel has been declared Miss Nepal 2025. Luna defeated 25 contestants to win the Miss Nepal World crown in the 31st edition of Miss Nepal, organized by the organizing organization The Hidden Treasure.
‘Miss Nepal World 2024’ Ashma Kumari KC crowned Luna as Miss Nepal World 2025. Luna, who is also a scuba diver, went to Australia at the age of 17. She studied nursing there. Luna, who is pursuing a master’s degree in public health from the University of Sydney, had previously been the first runner-up of Miss Teen in 2015. Luna believes in the concept of ‘Learn, Earn and Return’.
Deepshikha Nepal became the first runner-up in the competition, along with the crown of ‘Miss Nepal Cosmo’. Urusha Bhandari became the runner-up and won the crown of ‘Miss Nepal International’ at the Miss Nepal Grand Finale held at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center on Saturday. She will represent Nepal at the Miss International to be held in Japan. Similarly, Soni Ghale was declared ‘Miss Nepal Earth 2025’ in the competition.
In other titles, Pragyika Chhetri won the title of ‘Miss Confident’. Urusha Bhandari won two titles at once by winning ‘Miss Timeless Elegance’ and ‘Real Miss Popular Choice’. Saichha Thapa won ‘Dabur Batika Miss Beautiful Hair’ while Aarti Thapa won the title of ‘Miss Healthy Skin’.
Similarly, while Jagdishwari Shah won the title of ‘BYD Miss Green Visionary’, ‘Enbio Miss Pristine’ went to Priyanka Thapa. Similarly, Luna Luintel won the title of ‘Miss DHI’, Deepshikha Nepal won the title of ‘National Life Miss Empowered Choice’ and Smriti Shrestha won the title of ‘Pharmacy Face of the Year 2025’. Smriti also managed to win the title of Miss Photogenic.
Similarly, Shrishti Kumari Tamang won the title of ‘Ncell Miss Beauty with Purpose’. Shruti Maharjan won the title of ‘The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellectual’. Nilima Pandey won the title of ‘Yati Woman with Wings’.
The top 12 were initially selected in the competition. Then there was a question and answer competition. The top 12 answered the questions asked by the judges. Similarly, the final top four had to write and recite the answers to the given questions. The organizers asked the top 4, Urusha Bhandari, Luna Luintel, Soni Ghale and Deepshikha Nepal, to answer the same question. ‘If you could change one perception about beauty pageants, what would it be and why?’ The beauties gave different answers to the question.
The judges of the competition included The Hidden Treasure Chairman Ajay Ratna Sthapit, Miss Nepal World 2018 Srushika Khatiwada, Himalaya Television Chairman Shyam Kandel, actress Ana Sharma, Kantipur Media Group CEO Mahesh Swar, Areta Public Relations CEO Ruchi Pandey, Cymax CEO Shahil Shrestha, Miss Nepal Earth 2018 Priya Sigdel, Mr. Nepal 2023 Samarpan Jung Karki, Dr. Shrishti Shrestha Prajapati, and designer Manish Rai.
