Kathmandu, 01 December: Voting for 41 vacant posts at the local level is being held peacefully in different parts of the country. According to our local representative from Hetauda, voting for the post of ward president is going on in Hetauda sub-metropolitan city-12. Voters have queued up at Pratibha Basic School and Bishnu Jyoti Basic School polling station located in the sub-metropolitan city-12 to cast their votes with enthusiasm. According to the Bagmati Province Election Office, there are 8,53 voters in that ward.
Lalit Bahadur Ghalan, who was elected as the ward president in the last election, became the head of the Makwanpur district coordination committee and the post became vacant. There are 12 people in the election field for the ward president of that ward, nine people from different parties and three independent people.

Similarly, in the news sent by the representative of Rss from Rajviraj of Saptari, Dakneshwari municipality ward no. 1 and 4 Voting continues in five polling stations for the post of ward president. The by-election was held after the death of the elected ward president from both the wards. Ward no. 1 Eight people including one independent and in ward no. 4 also has eight candidates including one woman. According to the District Election Office, there are 2,635 voters in Dakneshwari Municipality-1 and 1,281 voters in Ward-4.
According to Dailekh-based Rss correspondent, voting for the post of Ward President of Mahabu Rural Municipality-5 is going on peacefully in two polling stations. 92-year-old Jagatkumari Singh was the first to cast her vote in the voting which started at the scheduled time this morning. Seven candidates are competing in the election. According to the District Election Office, there are 1,760 voters in that ward.

Likewise, our Simkot-based correspondent reported that voting for the post of Vice President of Sarkegad Rural Municipality of Humla is going on peacefully. Voters have queued up to cast their votes at polling stations in Deval, Saraswati, Laligunras, Devkota, Himjyoti, Bhawani, Dhumchuli, Kallas, Swayambhu, Ishwar, Kot, Anshuvarma and Neelkanth community districts of Sarkegad.
