Kathmandu, 13 Aug: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the central bank, the value of the US dollar has slightly increased. Today, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at 140 rupees 05 paisa, and the selling rate at 140 rupees 65 paisa. On Tuesday, the buying rate for one US dollar was 139 rupees 96 paisa, and the selling rate was 140 rupees 56 paisa.

The buying rate for one European euro has been set at 162 rupees 54 paisa, and the selling rate at 163 rupees 23 paisa. The buying rate for one UK pound sterling is 188 rupees 40 paisa, and the selling rate is 189 rupees 20 paisa. One Swiss franc is being bought at 172 rupees 61 paisa and sold at 173 rupees 35 paisa.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is 90 rupees 83 paisa, and the selling rate is 91 rupees 22 paisa. The Canadian dollar is being bought at 101 rupees 48 paisa and sold at 101 rupees 92 paisa. The Singapore dollar is being bought at 108 rupees 87 paisa and sold at 109 rupees 33 paisa.

Ten Japanese yen are being bought at 9 rupees 43 paisa and sold at 9 rupees 47 paisa. One Chinese yuan is being bought at 19 rupees 48 paisa and sold at 19 rupees 57 paisa. The buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal is 37 rupees 32 paisa, and the selling rate is 37 rupees 48 paisa. One Qatari riyal is being bought at 38 rupees 43 paisa and sold at 38 rupees 59 paisa.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is 4 rupees 31 paisa, and the selling rate is 4 rupees 33 paisa. The UAE dirham is being bought at 38 rupees 13 paisa and sold at 38 rupees 29 paisa. The Malaysian ringgit is being bought at 33 rupees 10 paisa and sold at 33 rupees 24 paisa. One hundred South Korean won are being bought at 10 rupees 07 paisa and sold at 10 rupees 11 paisa. The Swedish krona is being bought at 14 rupees 52 paisa and sold at 14 rupees 58 paisa, while the Danish krone is being bought at 21 rupees 78 paisa and sold at 21 rupees 87 paisa.

The central bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 92 paisa. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at 458 rupees 08 paisa and sold at 460 rupees 05 paisa. The buying rate for one Bahraini dinar is 371 rupees 49 paisa, and the selling rate is 373 rupees 08 paisa. One Omani rial is being bought at 363 rupees 76 paisa and sold at 365 rupees 32 paisa. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at 160 rupees, and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates can be revised at any time if necessary. It has also been mentioned that the rates determined by commercial banks may vary, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
