Kathmandu, May 20 – Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Tuesday, Jestha 6. The rates set by the central bank are applicable for transactions carried out today across licensed financial institutions in the country.
According to NRB, the buying rate for 1 US Dollar has been fixed at Rs. 136.35, while the selling rate is Rs. 136.95. Similarly, the Euro stands at Rs. 153.65 for buying and Rs. 154.32 for selling.
The British Pound Sterling is being traded at Rs. 182.46 (buying) and Rs. 183.26 (selling), whereas the Swiss Franc is valued at Rs. 163.66 and Rs. 164.38 respectively.
In the Asia-Pacific region, the Australian Dollar is trading at Rs. 87.90 (buying) and Rs. 88.29 (selling), and the Canadian Dollar is set at Rs. 97.75 and Rs. 98.18. Likewise, the Singapore Dollar stands at Rs. 105.36 (buying) and Rs. 105.82 (selling).
Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese Yen is trading at Rs. 9.41 (buying) and Rs. 9.45 (selling). The Chinese Yuan has been valued at Rs. 18.91 and Rs. 18.99 respectively.
The Saudi Arabian Riyal is priced at Rs. 36.35 (buying) and Rs. 36.51 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs. 37.41 and Rs. 37.58.
Meanwhile, the Thai Baht has been fixed at Rs. 4.12 (buying) and Rs. 4.14 (selling). The UAE Dirham is at Rs. 37.12 and Rs. 37.29, and the Malaysian Ringgit is being traded at Rs. 31.78 (buying) and Rs. 31.92 (selling).
The South Korean Won (100 units) has a buying rate of Rs. 9.81 and a selling rate of Rs. 9.85. The Swedish Krona stands at Rs. 14.09 (buying) and Rs. 14.16 (selling), while the Danish Krone is valued at Rs. 20.59 and Rs. 20.69.
Among the Gulf currencies, the Hong Kong Dollar is set at Rs. 17.43 (buying) and Rs. 17.51 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar, one of the strongest currencies in the region, is trading at Rs. 443.92 (buying) and Rs. 445.87 (selling).
Similarly, the Bahraini Dinar has been valued at Rs. 361.68 and Rs. 363.27, while the Omani Rial stands at Rs. 354.18 (buying) and Rs. 355.74 (selling).
