He was co- convenor in that committee. His turning point became the struggle against the expansion of Dhankute road. After that Sampang started raising his voice on social issues of Dharan. He started speaking continuously against corruption and unstable. A fearless leader carrying his ideas and demands wandered the streets of Dharan for 10 years, carrying a black bag and a bottle of water alone in the Tolls. He continued to repeat so that its sounds could be heard by the soil and the sky of Dharan.

Harka Sampang was elected as independent candidate for mayor of Dharan deputy metropolitan municipality in 2079. After being elected, Harka has connected the people of Dharan to labor, it is very big task to connect the lazy people. When he calls to work thousands of people go to work, this is his great success. He has been supported by many Nepalese people, there is no greed in him, he has a deep relationship with the country and its citizens, which emerged from the anti-corruption campaign.
