France expressed its grief over the loss of life and property caused by the floods

Kathmandu, 13 Ashoj (Sep 29): The Ambassador of France to Nepal, Virginie Corteval, has expressed her grief over the loss of property due to the floods and has expressed her sympathy to the government of Nepal and the people of Nepal.

Regarding the Nepal-France educational partnership, at the reception held at his residence on Saturday evening, he said that he was saddened by the news of the loss of precious lives and property in the natural calamity, and said that the government of France and the French people express their heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the government of Nepal and the people of Nepal.

He expressed his belief that the educational exhibition organized by targeting Nepali who want to study from secondary education to Ph.d in different educational institutions of France will further advance the relationship between France and Nepal through education. Ambassador Corteval expressed his belief that Nepal will benefit from the provision of scholarships for intelligent students.

On that occasion, professors and administrators of Tribhuvan and Kathmandu universities as well as representatives of South Asian countries of ‘Campus France’ were present.
