Buddhism Religion

Buddhism is one of the main religion in the world. If we look at the basis of numbers, it is Christianity, Islam, Hinduism is the next Buddhism, largest religion. Most of its followers are a religion that has spread to Southeast Asia and other countries. Buddhism was founded more than 2500 years ago by Siddhartha Gautam who was born in 500 B.C. from king Suddhodhan and queen Maya. When he attained enlightenment, he was knowns as Buddha. Queen Maya saw in her dream that a white elephant entered her womb. And then Buddha was born. Some people believe that the Buddha walked seven steps when he was born. After his birth, it was prophesied that either he would become a great king or a great saintly soul. Sidhartha’s mother died within a week of his birth. After that he was taken care of by his stepmother. At the age of 19, he married Yesodhara. At the age of 29, his son Rahul was born. One day he asked his servant to give him outside tour from the palace. And during this visit he saw four scenes.

  1. Old person
  2. Sick person
  3. Dead man

     4. Saint person

Siddhartha was disturbed by these things and sat in the palace and didn’t find answer this question, being sure he could not get it, he thought of leaving the palace. It is believed that after Siddhartha left the palace, the evil came to test him. The wicked said that if returned to the palace, he would be given all the world’s possessions, but Buddha refused and left the palace. After leaving the palace, he met a monk named Bhagav. Siddhartha observed his ascetic life closely. After that he went to learn how to gain knowledge through meditation on Arda Kalma and Ramputra of Uddhara. After some practice of this matter, he realized that knowledge can not be gained from this matter well. After that he finally went to Uruvilva forest in the land of Magadha and started doing penance but even with this he felt that he could not attain enlightenment and he decided to give it up. His body was very relaxed but suddenly a star appeared before him in the eastern sky and he attained enlightenment, he attained the path of enlightenment. He gained knowledge at the age of 35. After that he was called Buddha. Some of the people that were with the Buddha, first accepted his teachings and they became his disciples. According to some scholars, Buddha attained enlightenment, according to the three watches of night. In the first watch, Buddha discussed his past life and attained enlightenment of his first life. In the second, he understood the cycle of life, death and rebirth. He understood how any living being falls into the cycle of rebirth according to his karma.
