Kathmandu, 24 Jan: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Saturday. According to the determined exchange rates, the value of the US dollar has reached its highest level to date. The buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 146.81 and the selling rate at NPR 147.41.
Similarly, the buying rate for one European euro has been fixed at NPR 172.31 and the selling rate at NPR 173.02, while the UK pound sterling has been set at NPR 198.58 for buying and NPR 199.39 for selling. The Swiss franc is priced at NPR 185.61 for buying and NPR 186.37 for selling.
The buying rate for one Australian dollar has been set at NPR 100.55 and the selling rate at NPR 100.96. Likewise, one Canadian dollar is being bought at NPR 106.50 and sold at NPR 106.94, while the Singapore dollar stands at NPR 114.75 for buying and NPR 115.22 for selling.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at NPR 9.27 and the selling rate at NPR 9.31. One Chinese yuan is being bought at NPR 21.08 and sold at NPR 21.17. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at NPR 39.15 for buying and NPR 39.31 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 40.28 for buying and NPR 40.45 for selling.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at NPR 4.71 for buying and NPR 4.72 for selling. Similarly, the UAE dirham stands at NPR 39.97 for buying and NPR 40.13 for selling, the Malaysian ringgit at NPR 36.65 for buying and NPR 36.80 for selling, the South Korean won (100 units) at NPR 10.00 for buying and NPR 10.04 for selling, the Swedish krona at NPR 16.27 for buying and NPR 16.34 for selling, and the Danish krone at NPR 23.07 for buying and NPR 23.16 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.83 and the selling rate at NPR 18.90. Likewise, the Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at NPR 480.32 for buying and NPR 482.28 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 389.39 for buying and NPR 390.98 for selling, and the Omani riyal at NPR 381.35 for buying and NPR 382.91 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.
