Kathmandu, 21 Jan: The Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the determined exchange rate, the purchase rate for one US Dollar has been set at 145 rupees 27 paisa and the selling rate at 145 rupees 87 paisa.

Similarly, the purchase rate for one European Euro has been set at 170 rupees 36 paisa and the selling rate at 171 rupees 06 paisa; the purchase rate for one UK Pound Sterling at 195 rupees 56 paisa and the selling rate at 196 rupees 36 paisa; and the purchase rate for one Swiss Franc has been maintained at 183 rupees 90 paisa and the selling rate at 184 rupees 66 paisa.

The purchase rate for one Australian Dollar has been set at 97 rupees 78 paisa and the selling rate at 98 rupees 19 paisa; the purchase rate for one Canadian Dollar at 105 rupees 09 paisa and the selling rate at 105 rupees 53 paisa; and the purchase rate for one Singapore Dollar has been set at 113 rupees 27 paisa and the selling rate at 113 rupees 73 paisa.

The purchase rate for ten Japanese Yen has been set at nine rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate at nine rupees 24 paisa; the purchase rate for one Chinese Yuan at 20 rupees 87 paisa and the selling rate at 20 rupees 96 paisa; the purchase rate for one Saudi Arabian Riyal at 38 rupees 74 paisa and the selling rate at 38 rupees 90 paisa; and the purchase rate for one Qatari Riyal has been maintained at 39 rupees 86 paisa and the selling rate at 40 rupees 02 paisa.

According to the central bank, the purchase rate for one Thai Baht has been set at four rupees 68 paisa and the selling rate at four rupees 70 paisa; the purchase rate for one UAE Dirham at 39 rupees 55 paisa and the selling rate at 39 rupees 71 paisa; the purchase rate for one Malaysian Ringgit at 35 rupees 83 paisa and the selling rate at 35 rupees 98 paisa; the purchase rate for one hundred South Korean Won at nine rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate at nine rupees 88 paisa; the purchase rate for one Swedish Krona at 15 rupees 91 paisa and the selling rate at 15 rupees 98 paisa; and the purchase rate for one Danish Krone has been set at 22 rupees 80 paisa and the selling rate at 22 rupees 90 paisa.

The Rastra Bank has set the purchase rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at 18 rupees 63 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 71 paisa; the purchase rate for one Kuwaiti Dinar at 475 rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate at 477 rupees 17 paisa; the purchase rate for one Bahraini Dinar at 385 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate at 386 rupees 90 paisa; and the purchase rate for one Omani Rial at 377 rupees 35 paisa and the selling rate at 378 rupees 91 paisa. Similarly, the purchase rate for one hundred Indian Rupees has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.

The Rastra Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as necessary. It has also been informed that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
