Kathmandu, 17 Jan: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Saturday. According to the determined exchange rates, the value of the US dollar has reached its highest level so far. As per the latest rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 145.09 and the selling rate at NPR 145.69.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at NPR 168.59 and the selling rate at NPR 169.29. The UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 194.51 and a selling rate of NPR 195.31. The Swiss franc has a buying rate of NPR 180.97 and a selling rate of NPR 181.71.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at NPR 97.32 and the selling rate at NPR 97.72. The Canadian dollar is trading at a buying rate of NPR 104.49 and a selling rate of NPR 104.92. Likewise, the Singapore dollar has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 112.70 and a selling rate of NPR 113.16.
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units has been set at NPR 9.18 and the selling rate at NPR 9.21. The Chinese yuan has a buying rate of NPR 20.82 and a selling rate of NPR 20.90. The Saudi Arabian riyal is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 38.69 and a selling rate of NPR 38.85, while the Qatari riyal has a buying rate of NPR 39.83 and a selling rate of NPR 40.00.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.62 and a selling rate of NPR 4.64. The UAE dirham is trading at a buying rate of NPR 39.50 and a selling rate of NPR 39.67. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 35.76 and a selling rate of NPR 35.91. Likewise, the South Korean won (100 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.85 and a selling rate of NPR 9.89. The Swedish krona is trading at a buying rate of NPR 15.74 and a selling rate of NPR 15.81, while the Danish krone has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 22.56 and a selling rate of NPR 22.66.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.60 and the selling rate at NPR 18.68. The Kuwaiti dinar is trading at a buying rate of NPR 474.46 and a selling rate of NPR 476.42. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of NPR 384.85 and a selling rate of NPR 386.44, while the Omani riyal is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 376.87 and a selling rate of NPR 378.43. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also noted that the exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
