Bethanchok Hosts Quiz and Art Competition

Chyalti: Bethanchok Rural Municipality recently held an inter-basic level quiz and art competition.

The quiz competition, conducted for grades 6 to 8 at Atma Vikas Secondary School in Ward No. 5, concluded with Parvati Secondary School securing the first place, Krishna Gopal Secondary School in second place, and Bhumi Mata Secondary School in third. Chakreshwor Secondary School received a consolation prize.

In the art competition for grades 1 to 5, Parvati Secondary School took the first place, followed by Bhimseneshwor Secondary School in second place, and Saraswati Secondary School in third. Goraknath Primary School also received a consolation prize.

During the award ceremony, Bethanchok Rural Municipality Chairman Bhagwan Adhikari distributed prizes and certificates to the winners. He highlighted that such competitive events at the municipal level enable Bethanchok students to compete with students from all 753 municipalities across the country.

Adhikari encouraged parents to suggest programs and emphasized the importance of creative and educational activities as part of the educational calendar. He stressed the need for both theoretical and practical education for students.

Ward No. 5 Chairman Rajkumar Waiba noted the significance of education in human life and the need for scientific education in today’s context. He mentioned that municipal-level competitions foster talent, and that the municipality’s policy of organizing various activities across different wards was reflected in these two competitions held in his ward.

Jagat Tamang, Chairman of the Management Committee at Atma Vikas Secondary School, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make the event successful. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman Tara Rana Timalsina, Ward No. 2 Chairman Purushottam Timalsina, Ward No. 6 Chairman Vishnu Tamang, and Education Branch Chief Pushpa Rai, among others.
