Dhunkharka: Students from three schools in Bethanchok Rural Municipality have recently received training in public speaking and declaration skills. The training was organized jointly by the Lions Club of Kathmandu Prosperity and Parvati Secondary School.
According to Govinda Prasad Sharma, Principal of Parvati Secondary School, the training aimed at enhancing students’ multifaceted development and was conducted during the school vacation.
During the closing ceremony, Purushottam Timalsina, Chairman of Ward No. 2 of Bethanchok Rural Municipality, expressed his gratitude to the school for organizing such a life-enriching training. He emphasized that public speaking and effective communication are essential aspects of personal development and expressed confidence that the training would help in enhancing the students’ capabilities.
Timalsina also mentioned that the ward office would continue to support similar programs and advised the school to involve parents in educational activities.
Kumar Prasad Ghimire, Chairman of the School Management Committee, highlighted that learning extends beyond textbooks. He suggested incorporating such activities into the regular schedule to further enhance students’ abilities.
The training was attended by 38 students from Saraswati Secondary School, Parvati Secondary School, and another Parvati Secondary School.
